acupuncture treatments for a variety of conditions, including pain, PTSD, anxiety, and
insomnia. Here’s what you need to know.

Within 3-5 business days, TriWest should call you to set up an appointment. Tell
them you would like to go to AcuMedGroup Wellness Center. Within another 3-5
business days, they will call you again to confirm your appointment with us.
2. TriWest will then send AcuMedGroup approval for a certain number of treatments for
a given period of time. We’ll then call you to confirm your appointment.
3. In 2017, more than 47,000 veterans were authorized to receive acupuncture care
outside VA medical centers.
4. Acupuncture has become a leading pain treatment for veterans after a government
study revealed that 33 percent of veterans used opioids, a rate that was much
higher than in the general public.
